Mirchi Powder

Mirchi karam is the colour and heat behind most Andhra cooking. Ours is ground from dried red chillies in small lots, which is why the packet still smells of chilli when you open it.

Use it in curries, pappu, pulusu and podis, and as the base for pickle masala.

ఆంధ్రా వంటకు రంగు, కారం ఇచ్చేది మిరప కారమే. చిన్న బ్యాచ్‌లలో ఆడిస్తాం, అందుకే ప్యాకెట్ విప్పగానే మిరప వాసన వస్తుంది. కూరలు, పప్పు, పులుసు, పొడులు, పచ్చడి మసాలాకు వాడొచ్చు.
